4. Data collection on our website
Server log files: The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores
information in so-called server log files. These are:
browser type and browser version, operating system used, referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer, time of the server request, IP address
This data is not merged with other data sources.
The basis for the data processing is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the performance of a contract or of a measure.
5. Anonymous audience measurement
We would like to know which reports are read and whether the pages work on every device. The website therefore counts its page views itself. No outside service is involved, and the data never leaves our server.
Recorded are: the page called up, date and time, how long it was read, how far it was scrolled, the previously visited page or search engine, device type, browser, operating system, screen width, the language setting of the browser, as well as links clicked, images opened and files downloaded.
Your IP address is not stored. From it, your browser identification and a random value that changes daily and is deleted afterwards, a checksum is formed that cannot be reversed. It serves solely to group several page views of the same day into one visit. On the following day the same person can no longer be recognised.
The counting sets no cookie and stores nothing in your browser. Consent is therefore not required. The processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – our legitimate interest in a frugal review of our own website. The individual records are deleted after six months at the latest; only daily totals without any personal reference remain.
If you would rather not be counted, switch on the “Do Not Track” setting in your browser; we do not count such visits.
6. What your browser remembers
A few conveniences are kept in your browser’s local storage: the light or dark appearance you chose, whether you dismissed the language notice, whether and when you dismissed the donation notice, and – for half a day – the number of entries, so that the other pages need not count them again. These entries stay on your device, never reach us, and can be deleted at any time through your browser settings.
7. Donations
Donations are made by bank transfer only; no payment service is involved. Nor does the donation page call any other external service: the QR code is produced by our own server. You never enter your banking details with us, only in your own banking app. About a donation we learn only what the bank notes on the statement – as a rule the sender’s name and reference.
8. Changes to our privacy policy
We reserve the right to adapt this privacy policy from time to time so that it always complies with the current legal requirements, or in order to implement changes to our services in the privacy policy, e.g. when introducing new services.
The new privacy policy will then apply to your next visit.
